Step-by-Step Metal Roof Installation
Once the preparation is complete, our team follows a meticulous process to install your new metal roof:
Step 1: Order and Cut Panels
We measure and cut metal roofing panels to fit your roof precisely, minimizing seams. A large lift is used to place the panels onto the roof safely.
Step 2: Trim Preparation
Using aviation snips, we cut and bend the trim ends to fit neatly around corners. We install the eave trim with high-quality roofing nails, ensuring a secure attachment to the roof deck.
Step 3: Splice and Overlap Trims
We splice the trim ends where they meet, cut the bottom of the underlapping trim, and apply sealant. The overlapping trim is then slid over the underlapping trim to create a watertight seal.
Step 4: Reference Line
A square reference line is established 90 degrees to the eave to guide the placement of metal roofing panels.
Step 5: Panel Installation
We place each panel on foam closure strips to prevent pests and water infiltration. Panels are secured with screws to ensure a tight, watertight seal.
